First I like to say many people make mistake by buying birthday only. Average lottery number contain at least 49 numbers.
Buying birthday only your maximum number will be 31.
That will be date from 1 to 31 and month 1 to 12 only.
You are missing all those numbers from 32 to 49 ! Your probability is greatly reduced !
